VMworld 2016: a pivotal year
With lightning-fast advancements in technology, companies have to continually work to remain in lockstep with the evolution of our industry’s digital innovation and improvements. As a company that ensures brand integrity, intent and impact are optimized across the entire graphic supply chain, Phototype delivers intelligent operations management every step of the way. As we strive to serve as an industry pioneer by discovering what’s possible with the packaging industry’s digital infrastructure, from networking to computer virtualization to cloud-based storage, VMworld 2016 is a must-attend show.
As a Systems Administrator at Phototype, it is up to me and the Information Technology team to make sure all technology – networks, servers, processes and software – runs smoothly. Some of the world’s biggest brands trust us to steward the creation and execution of their graphics and packaging, so it is essential that our processes not only run seamlessly and deliver unmatched brand equity, but add value for our clients.
Fully embracing and implementing virtual technology allows concept-to-shelf partners like Phototype to optimize design, production and management solutions; enable automation; and reduce costs, all without having to offshore work. Continued exploration of technologies that deliver efficiencies and supply chain visibility, will only stand to enhance the experience of CPG companies and protect their brands’ equity.
VMworld 2016 will highlight the future of networking, virtualization and storage. Check back on Phototype’s Resource Center next month as I highlight some of my learnings and the top trends from the show, which takes place Aug. 28 – Sept. 1. In addition, check out some of my favorite thought leaders in the VM (virtual machine) world, William Lam and Duncan Epping. I guarantee the reading will be “virtually” stimulating.Nick CarterSystems Administrator, Information Technology
